First meeting: Social Innovation in the Basque Country, from theory to practice

The first meeting had two main objectives: to start making up the working group and to immerse in the concept of Social Innovation. Elhuyar consultants explained the work they have done around Social Innovation and, more precisely, the tool they have designed to evaluate projects from the Social Innovation perspective.

We also had the occasion of knowing two nearby cooperatives: Uztaro, an agroecological and self-managed cooperative located in Beizama (a town in the province of Gipuzkoa), which aims to offer a real alternative to the current and dominant consumption pattern; Goiener, a cooperative that produces and commercializes renewable energy in the Basque Country.
